Gqeberha police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a cyclist was killed near Wells Estate on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the unknown man was found lying in Malinga Street with his bicycle next to his body.
She says the driver who allegedly knocked him over stopped at the scene and alerted authorities.
Colonel Naidu says the accident happened at about 11.30 pm.
She says detectives in Swartkops are now seeking the community's assistance in tracing the victim's next of kin.
