A Cradock man wanted by police for allegedlly raping and kidnapping a 13-year-old girl has been arrested.
Police spokesperson, Captain Stefani Smith, says 52-year-old Riaan Venables was arrested in Bloemfontein on Tuesday.
He was reportedly found in the company of the teenage girl.
In an earlier statement police said that Venables had first kidnapped and raped the girl in Cradock in August.
He was subsequently arrested and when he failed to appear in court last Monday, a warrant for his arrest was issued.
Smith says he is expected to face an additional charge of contempt of court when he's returned to Cradock.
