A farmer from the Cradock area has appeared in court in connection with the murder of one of his workers.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Elmarie Lotz, says 50-year-old, Pieter van der Vyver, has been charged with the murder of 29-year-old farm worker, Masixole Charles.
He appeared in the Cradock Magistrates Court on Wednesday where he was released on bail of R1000.
Lotz says it is alleged that the two were involved in an argument over money on the farm Diepkloof on Monday when Van Der Vyver allegedly shot Charles.
Van Der Vyver will be back in court again on 29 March.
