Dagga products in package opened by courier company in Gqeberha

The police in Nelson Mandela Bay have confiscated a package containing dagga products on Tuesday.

Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a courier company alerted the K9 squad about a suspicious package at their premises.

She says upon arrival the package, which was already opened, was handed to the police.

Inside they found a packet containing dagga, 2 glass containers with ointment and another two transparent containers with 60 g of dagga tablets.

The goods contained in the package was from a company called "The Oil Guy" who sell their products online.

Naidu says the courier company, situated in Uitenhage Road, contacted SAPS as it is against their company policy to transport any products containing drugs.

Naidu says due to concerns raised by the company, SAPS has taken ownership of the package which can be claimed by either the sender or receiver.

Algoa FM News approached "The Oil Guy" for comment and we are awaiting their response.
