Couple hijacked in Kwanobuhle, PE

Uitenhage police are investigating a case of hijacking, after a 39 year old man and his wife were hijacked in Kwanobuhle on Thursday night.

Police Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says they were sitting in their vehicle, a silver VW Polo in Khwane Street, when two suspects threatened the man with a firearm just after 8pm.

She says the supects ordered both the man and woman out of the vehicle, and sped away with it. No shots were fired, and no-one was injured.

Swart says the vehicle has not yet been recovered.
