East London police are investigating a double murder after a couple was shot dead in a vehicle in Parkridge this weekend.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, says the shooting occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning on Windyridge Road.
He says the deceased were found in a Toyota bakkie with gunshot wounds.
Nkohli says it is alleged that a maroon Audi with no registration plates, was seen fleeing the scene.
He says the motive for the shooting is still unknown and the names of the deceased have not yet been released.
