Garden Route police are looking for three suspects who assaulted a couple during a home invasion in Ballots Bay Heights on Monday night.
A spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies says the 64-year-old homeowner and his 62-year-old wife were accosted before 7 pm in their living room.
He says the wife was forced to the ground by a suspect while another man assaulted the husband with an unknown object.
Sergeant Spies says the complainant sustained serious head injuries and the couple was taken to hospital after the attack.
He says the suspects fled the scene with jewellery.
No arrests have been made.
