Cops probe Kirkwood canal drowning

Kirkwood police are investigating the drowning of a woman whose body was found in a canal.

The 29-year-old deceased was identified as Khanyiswa Rwenda.

Police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart, said that community members discovered her body in the Aquapark water canal on Tuesday morning.

She said police have opened an inquest docket.
