Cops looking for mom who dumped newborn in sewerage pipe

The KwaNonqaba police in Mossel Bay are still searching for the mother of a new-born baby found in a sewerage pipe last Friday.

This horrific site greeted municipal workers who were called out to assist with a clogged pipe.

They then found the body of the baby girl.

Its believed that the child's mother may be living in one of 25 homes in the vicinity of Umtata-Singel Street.

Anyone who may have information on the woman's whereabouts should contact the Mossel Bay police.
