A 52-year-old man facing charges related to the possession of child pornography made another appearance in the East London Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
More charges have been added against the accused after 285 videos were found on his SD card.
The man, who may not yet be named as he has not pleaded, was arrested in March.
His arrest forms part of 27 other suspected online child sexual predators who were nabbed through an international joint operation with Homeland Security in recent months.
During proceedings, State Prosecutor, Advocate Vuyokazi Sam, who tackles organized crime, said even though some of the suspects may have accessed material from the same groups, they cannot be sure they are part of a syndicate.
She said the state is awaiting cellphone billings to determine whether some of the suspects are connected
The case was postponed to the 16th of July as the state is also awaiting age identification from the Film and Publication Board.
Advocate Sam could not confirm with certainty that the children are not South African but rather said they seem to be of Asian descent.
The accused is out on bail of R5 000.
