Cops destroy "cockroach infested illegal brew" in Kwanobuhle

Operation Duty Calls is in full swing in KwaNobuhle, Uitenhage, with over 700 litres of illegal concoction destroyed from 22  houses brewing and selling the substance in the area. 

Sergeant Majola Nkohli says dead cockroaches, flies and other insects were found in some of the product. 

He added that a licensed tavern was issued with a compliance notice for selling liquor outside of prescribed trading hours.

He also urged communities to report tavern owners that are not complying with liquor trading hours or selling liquor to children under the age of 18.
