A Port Elizabeth man will apply for bail on Monday following his arrest this week for allegedly being in possession of perlemoen.
Forty-one-year-old Terence Clarence was arrested at his Sherwood home on Tuesday where police said they found 80-kilograms of perlemoen with an estimated value of R30 000.
Clarence, who made a brief court appearance on Wednesday, remains in custody.
He received a suspended sentence last year following his arrest in 2009 for being in possession of and dealing in rhino horns.
