Construction vehicle stolen in Gqeberha

Supplied

Police have confirmed that they are investigating a case of theft after a construction vehicle went missing.

It is alleged that the person hired the vehicle on more than one occasion and failed to make payment.

Scribante Construction, Moss Plant Hire and Stu Davidson & Sons all report having had construction vehicles stolen last year.

They further believe that there is a syndicate involved.

The modus operandi seemed to be a ‘client’ booking out a machine and then it disappears from the client’s lock-up.

The TLB (Tractor Loader Backhoe)'s tracker device has been deactivated and was last active in the Motherwell area.
