The formal bail hearing of the 24-year-old man accused of killing Port Elizabeth Flying Squad member Dwane Kemp was again postponed for further investigation in the PE Magistrate's court on Friday.
Constable Kemp died in hospital late last month, just hours after being wounded in a shootout between the suspect and his four accomplices at the Le Bon Bakery in Central.
His flying squad partner, returned fire killing four of the armed robbers while a 5th suspect managed to escape.
Police arrested him six days later at his parent's home in Algoa Park following the immediate implementation of the 72 hour activation plan.
The court upheld a previous ruling that the young accused, who remains in custody, not yet be identified.
He faces five charges of murder which include those of Kemp and his deceased accomplices.
He also faces charges of attempted business robbery and the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition and is expected back in court on the 22nd of February.
