A high level conference on rural development takes place in Buffalo City from Thursday.
Surudec, an acronym for Sustainable Rural Development in the Eastern Cape, is a joint initiative of the European Union and the Eastern Cape province.
The Surudec conference will examine lessons which it, along with its partners, have learnt about rural development since its establishment.
Eastern Cape premier Noxolo Kiviet and MEC for Rural Development and Agrarian Reform, Zoleka Capa, will attend the conference.
A host of local and international speakers will present papers at the event.
