Uitenhage police are investigating a case of business robbery following an incident at a spaza shop in Despatch.
Spokesperson, warrant officer Gerda Swart, says four suspects, armed with a firearm and knives, entered the shop on Tuesday afternoon and demanded money.
She says the suspects threatened the shop owner and made him lay flat on the floor.
Swart says his co-owner was subsequently stabbed in the head.
He was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.
