Academic activities are set to resume on Wednesday at the University of Fort Hare following a suspension due to student unrest over the past two weeks.
University spokesperson Zintle Filtane says scores of students returned to the university's Alice campus Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
Vice chancellor dr. Mvuyo Tom says no final agreement has been reached between the students and management.
Earlier this month, Fort Hare students torched beds and university furniture, demanding residential renovations and automatic Supplementary Exams, among other demands.
