Christopher Panayiotou back in court

Murder accused Christopher Panayiotou appeared briefly in the Port Elizabeth magistrate's court on Tuesday  after magistrate Abigail Beeton insisted he be present to hear arguement by his defence council for access to the State's case docket.

Defence council Terry Price and Alwyn Griebenouw say they need the docket so that they can prepare another bail application for their client

Panayiotou, who is accused of orchestrating his school teacher wife Jayde's abduction and murder in April this year, was a no show last Friday after no arrangements were made to bring him to court from St Albans Prison.

State Prosecutor Marius Stander will be served with papers on Wednesday to appear in the High Court on the 1st of December to hear arguement for access to the case docket.

Magistrate Beeton ruled that Panayioutou and his two co-accused Sizwezakhe Vumazonke and Sinethemba Nenembe appear again in the Magistrate's court on the 2nd of December for the case to be remanded and referred to the High Court in the New Year.
