Two Chinese nationals are expected to appear in court on Thursday in connection with a massive perlemoen bust on a plot at St Albans outside Port Elizabeth.
Police captain Stanley Jarvis says the raid on the property early on Tuesday morning was carried out by Kabega Park CID's, Uitenhage's stock theft unit and members of the K-9 unit.
He says police seized half a ton of perlemoen with an estimated street value of R1.5m.
Jarvis says the two men, aged 40 and 41, are also suspected to be in the country illegally.
They face charges of running an illegal processing operation as well as the illegal possession of perlemoen.
