The process of identifying the victims of Sunday's taxi accident that claimed the lives of 15 people, is still ongoing.
The accident happened on the N9 near Middelburg on Sunday when a truck driver hit a stray animal and veered off the road which resulted in his trailer tipping over.
The minibus taxi hit the trailer killing all the passengers, including the driver on impact.
A spokesperson for Provincial Traffic Unathi Binqose says by Wednesday morning 11 of the victims had been identified by relatives at the government mortuary in Komani.
He says four bodies remain unidentified, including two adult females and the two children who died in the accident.
A two-year-old girl and an infant girl of two-months-old are among the unidentified victims.
The minibus taxi was driving back to the Western Cape on Sunday, carrying passengers who were all returning from a funeral in Tsolo.
