Child killed in EL accident as driver reportedly flees from the scene

A child was killed on Friday night following an accident on the N6 near Beacon Bay in East London.
The spokesperson for Provincial Traffic Charles Bramwell says it is alleged that the driver of a Toyota Hilux bakkie crossed over into oncoming traffic and collided with a Nissan Sentra.
The minor child was in travelling in the Nissan and died at the scene.
The Driver and his female passenger were also seriously injured in the accident.
According to them, the driver of the Hilux ran away from the accident scene.
Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
