A date has been set for former Eastern Cape Province rugby boss, Cheeky Watson, and his co-accused to stand trial on charges of fraud and corruption, involving millions of Rands.
Watson together with co-accused Nadia Gerwel, Mandisa Mkaza, Andrea Wessel briefly appeared before court on Friday.
A total of four people are charged alongside Watson and the sixth accused cited on the charge sheet being a company, Zeranza CC, belonging to Wessels.
The fifth suspect, Stephen Pistorius, has not appeared before court since the arrest last year due to falling ill.
The trial was set to start on the 20 August until the 24th then it would commence again on 10 December until the 21st.
They were all arrested in March last year following a lengthy probe by the Hawks into alleged fraudulent activities involving around R12m meant for the city's Integrated Public Transport System.
In 2007 National Treasury approved a budget of R208m for the improvement of the IPTS system.
All the accused are out on bail.
