The state has provisionally withdrawn charges against Port Elizabeth businessman, Naadir Abader.
He appeared in court on Monday in connection with the alleged assault of a radio presenter, Josca Human.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson, Anelisa Ngcakani, says the matter was provisionally withdrawn pending further investigation.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says this is not the first woman to lay a charge of assault against Abader.
In September of 2017, his then-girlfriend laid a charge of assault but it was later withdrawn.
He also assaulted a male employee in 2013 for which he was found guilty and fined R600.
Shortly after proceedings, Human told Algoa FM News that she only met her prosecutor, for the first time at court on Monday.
The case docket did not have all the information needed and therefore the State could not proceed with trial.
