An anonymous person caused a commotion in Mossel Bay on Wednesday when he donated R100 000 to the local Pep Stores, with specific instructions that the money be used by residents who need to buy clothing or anything else they might need.

The man, known as "The Guardian Angel" said people could shop until all the money was finished.

This caused such a commotion that police had to be called out to the scene to maintain order.

This is the second time that residents of Mossel Bay have been blessed by the actions of an anonymous donor.

In December last year, a person approached the local Pep stores offering to pay off hundreds of people's lay-by bills.

The man, who wanted to remain anonymous, was willing to pay off the remaining lay-by balances of 363 customers totalling R137 000.
