The Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber says its deeply concerned at the delays in implementing the Integrated Transport System in the Metro.
Chamber CEO, Kevin Huslter, said in a letter to the Municipality that the delays are having a negative impact on the city and affecting local business, particularly in Govan Mbeki Avenue and the Kempston Road area.
He warned of a potential loss of rate-paying businesses and future investors if the matter is not addressed.
Hustler also called for proper consultation with all stakeholders, including the taxi associations and bus industry, and that infrastructure be implemented in such a way that it does not hamper bussinesses in the affected areas.
