Port Alfred police have arrested a 34-year old man and are still searching for at least three other suspects following an armed robbery at the Rosehill Mall.
Lieutenant Luvuyo Mjekula, says three armed men held up two security guards from a Port Elizabeth based company at an ATM at the Mall earlier on Wednesday.
Mjekula says the security guards were tied up and the gang proceeded to take their cellphones, keys and an undisclosed amount of money.
He says the suspects fired shots as they fled into nearby bushes while the get away car sped off in a different direction.
Police say the suspects are armed and dangerous and are appealing to the public to contact their local police station with any information.
