The case against a 53-year-old Grahamstown man has been postponed to May 26th after he made another court appearance on Wednesday.
The businessman, who owns guesthouses in Grahamstown and Port Alfred, was arrested in March as part of an international probe, involving the FBI, into a child pornography ring with its roots in South Africa.
He faces several charges under the Films and Publications Act related to the possession, manufacture and distribution of child pornography.
Authorities said that as many as 600 American children, aged between eight and 13, had allegedly been tricked into engaging in sexually explicit activity on web cameras through the South African based website.
The Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions in the Eastern Cape, advocate Johan Bezuidenhout, confirmed that the man remains out on bail of R40 000.
