A black BMW landed in the Swartkops River after the driver lost control

Gqeberha police are investigating a case of culpable homicide following an accident on the N2 at the Swartkops River Bridge near Blue Water Bay.
Police spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says the driver of a black BMW appeared to have lost control of his vehicle shortly after midnight last night before colliding with the roadside barrier.
She says the vehicle went down an embankment and landed in the Swartkops River.
Captain Swart says the driver's body was found lying on the cement path next to the river.
His name will be released once his next of kin have been informed.
