The South African Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that one of its planes is missing near Mossel Bay, after taking off from George Airport on Thursday morning.
In a short statement, the Authority said that it was not able to make contact with its flight inspection unit aircraft ten minutes after take-off.
The search for the plane, believed to be a Cessna Citation, is reportedly concentrated in a mountainous area near Ruiterbos outside Mossel Bay.
Phindiwe Gwebu is from the Civil Aviation Authority says there are three crew members on board.
The search and rescue team is now searching for the plane and the two men and woman on board.
