Police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of murder after the body of an unknown man was discovered floating in the North End Lake.
Spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says after 6 am on Thursday, a vagrant told a resident in the area that he saw the body in the water.
She says police were called in to assist with the recovery of the body.
Captain Janse van Rensburg says the deceased's hands and feet were tied.
She says he is a male with a circle-shaped beard, wearing black tracksuit pants and a faded black t-shirt.
Police suspect he could be aged between 30 and 35.
