Motherwell police in Port Elizabeth have opened an inquest docket after the body of an unborn baby was found at a dumping site on Sunday morning.
Constable Mncedi Mbombo says the fetus was nearly fully developed at approximately 8 months old and appears to have been aborted.
Constable Mbombo says local resident Anele Tshokela made the discovery at around 6.30 am when he went to a dumping site in Mkhombe street in Motherwell to look for bones for his dogs.
He found the body of the unborn baby inside a plastic bag in a large rubbish bin.
No arrests have been made but inquest docket has been registered for investigation.
