The body of a man was found at the notorious Voëlklip lookout point near Herold's Bay early on Saturday morning.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies confirmed to Algoa FM News that the deceased was a Mossel Bay resident.
He says a missing person docket was opened in Mossel Bay early on Saturday.
Spies says the man's vehicle was found by police at Voëlklip shortly thereafter.
The body was retrieved from the water by the NSRI at the bottom of the cliff.
The deceased's identity has not yet been released.
