East London police have confirmed that the body of a woman who was last seen on Friday has been found.
Police spokesperson, Captain Nkhosiko Mzuku, says that "Cambridge police were notified about the body of a woman in her sixties that was found in Summerpride, East London today."
He said she was reported missing by her "estranged husband" on Monday.
"The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known. Police are investigating a case of murder," Mzuku said.
Earlier, it was reported that the 67-year-old East London woman was last seen at Thornycroft Lodge near Summerpride.
Her name is being withheld until all the next of kin have been informed.
