Body of missing Cradock teen found in dam

Police in Cradock have discovered the body of a teenager who went missing over two weeks ago.

Police Spokesperson Warrant Officer Elmarie Lotz says the 15 year old Gareth Gardner was last seen on the 2nd of July and was reported missing by his grandmother.

His body was found in a dam just behind one of the local schools.

Lotz says it appears that the teenager had drowned.

An autopsy will be performed to establish the exact cause of death.
