The body of a Somalian national who drowned in the Knysna Lagoon last month has been discovered.
A spokesperson for the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) Craig Lambinon says they launched a vessel with Police divers on Sunday following reports of a body submerged in the water.
He says police divers managed to bring the body to the shoreline and was taken into the care of the Government's Forensic Pathology Services.
The victim, whose name is not known, was swimming with his friends two weeks ago when he disappeared under the water.
An extensive search was done to locate his body but with no success.
Police have opened an inquest docket.
