Police said the body of an 11th flood victim has been found in Kariega after floods devastated parts of the town damaging homes, roads, and businesses.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said members of the Gqeberha K9 Search and Rescue Unit and SAPS Diving Unit retrieved the body from the Swartkops River next to Melbrooks Avenue.

She said the unidentified deceased was reportedly crossing the river near Kwanobuhle last Thursday when he got into difficulty and disappeared in the strong current.
Naidu said they are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the deceased.
“The search for two other females alleged to have drowned or reported missing in separate incidents due to the recent floods is continuing.
“Inquest dockets have been opened for all the drownings,” she said.
