Police have confirmed that the bodies of two men who were found on the R-62 between Joubertina and Kareedouw were of two men reported missing for more than a week.
They were 36-year-old Allister Meintjies and 21-year-old Brendan Lee-Krige.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Gerda Swart, says a post mortem will be conducted on Tuesday to determine the cause of death.
She says their families made a positive identification of the bodies on Monday.
Meintjies and Lee-Krige were reported missing after Meintjies' father's car was found abandoned on the N-2 near the Hankey turn-off early this month.
Police began the search after blood was found in the vehicle.
