The rape case involving a Blue Bulls junior loose forward has been postponed to next week Monday.
The 19-year-old, who cannot be named until he has pleaded, briefly appeared before the New Brighton Court on Monday for his formal bail application.
However, the application had to be set down for Monday after he informed the court that he would hire Attorney, Danie Gouws, to represent him.
The former Grey High School pupil is accused of sexual assaulting an 18-year-old woman at a secluded spot in Kwadwesi on New Years Day.
He has been in custody at the North End prison since his arrest.
The victim and her family were also present in court.
