Emergency services and several other role players are currently in Curry Street, East London, where a fire broke out earlier on Wednesday.
Police Spokesperson Hazel Mqala confirmed that a block of flats in Quigney called Curry Court was on fire.
Nobody was injured in the fire, that has not yet been fully extinguished.
The street is currently closed and will only be re-opened once the scene is cleared.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and will be investigated.
