Former US president Bill Clinton says he will be visiting Graca Machel, the wife of ailing former president Nelson Mandela.
Speaking during a brief visit to the Ubuntu Centre in Zwide, Port Elizabeth, on Tuesday, Clinton said he believed that Mandela and his family should have their privacy at this time.
Meanwhile, Clinton was full of praise for Zethu Nceza, who was part of the after-school program at the Ubuntu Education Centre, which is supported by the Clinton Foundation.
"She is extremely modest but she came with her mentor to New York and told the story of her life and how she got caught up in this programme and what it gave her. It is a very good story and I'm very proud of her," Clinton said.
Nceza said she was part of the Clinton global intiative in 2007 when she first met the former US president in New York at the age of 16.
She later went on to obtain her degree at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.
"Its nice to meet him again. Its really great, I can't believe," she gushed.
Meanwhile, Clinton was accompanied by his daughter Chelsea and a delegation that included Hollywood actors Dakota Fanning and Jessie Eisenberg.
They also toured the Ubuntu Centre but did not make any statements to the media.
The Clinton entourage moves from Port Elizabeth to Hammanskraal before sitting down with the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
South Africa is the last leg of Clinton's Africa tour which took him to Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia and Rwanda.
