The Superintendent General of the Eastern Cape Department of Education, Mthunywa Ngonzo, has released a Closed Vacancy list for 2014.
The bulletin, which consists of 3370 educator posts, is only for schools with additional educator vacancies as covered by the Education Labour Relations Council Collective Agreement.
The list includes 2055 Level 1 educators, while 987 are for head of departments and 328 for deputy principals.
Department spokesperson, Mali Mtima says this will ensure that every child in the province will have a teacher infront of them.
