The Eastern Cape Government says allegations that Bhisho legislature officials had demanded sex from women interns in exchange for jobs, will be investigated.
In a statement on Friday Bhisho government spokesperson, Mandisa Titi, says the allegations by the trade union Nehawu in the legislature recently, had surprised provincial government leaders.
Titi says this was because there were no records of reports made to relevant state institutions or law enforcement agencies.
However, Titi says the head of provincial administration had decided to institute an inquiry into the claims.
A team of four officials will be led by the head of the Department of Safety and Liaison, Ngaka Mosehana.
