A beloved Southern Elephant Seal named Tersi was spotted in a tidal pool at the Point in Mossel Bay on Monday.
Tersi, who was last seen on the 16th of November was named after the director of the Stranded Marine Animal Rescue Teams (S.M.A.R.T), Tersia Marais.
Tersi is "in town" to complete her moulting process which involves losing her old skin and coat in order to grow a new one.
Seals don't need food and water during this process as their bodies will look after themselves during this time.
Tersi is set to complete her moulting process any day now, after which she will take to the ocean to make her long way back home to the Antarctic.
