Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a case of murder after the beheaded body of a man was found on Tuesday night.
Spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says a passerby made the grim discovery at about 9.30 pm.
The body was lying next to the M19 close to Swartkops.
Beetge says the body of the unknown man had several stab wounds to the chest and his head was also cut off by an unknown instrument or weapon.
He says the victim is estimated to be between the age of 20 to 30 years old.
