Bay father kills wife and daughter -turns gun on himself

Police are investigating a family murder that took place in Bluewater Bay on Sunday.

Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a double murder and inquest docket was opened.
She says at about 4.20 pm neighbours heard several gunshots from a house in Brian Crescent and immediately contacted police.

The deceased persons sustained gunshot wounds. They were identified as Mbulelo Nkqayana (46), a municipal employee, his wife, Yolisa Nkqayana(37) and their daughter Kazimla Nkqayana(11).

Colonel Naidu says a 9mm firearm was found lying next to the father.

She says the motive for the shooting is yet to be established.
