A man arrested with stolen cell tower batteries and solar panels also faces a charge of bribery when he appears in court in Alexandria on Friday.
The 41-year-old man was arrested at Kinkelbos, outside Port Elizabeth, when police searched a bus.
Spokesperson, Captain Andre’ Beetge, said they found four stolen solar panels and 13 cell tower batteries in the vehicle’s luggage compartment on Thursday.
The value of the stolen goods is estimated at more than R100 000.
Beetge said that suspect also offered arresting officers more than R17 000.
