A woman from Mthatha who's been charged with the murder of her babies, has been granted bail in the Mthatha Magistrate's Court.
Twenty-eight-year-old Melice Jacobs was arrested following the discovery of the bodies of four infants and a foetus in freezers in her home in New Brighton, Mthatha, in February.
Eastern Cape police spokesperson, Colonel Sibongile Soci said Jacobs appeared in court on Thursday.
"She was released on R5000.00 bail. The bail condition are as follows; she finds an alternative place to stay in the Mthatha area, she may not leave Mthatha area, and does not interfere with witnesses," Soci said.
The case was remanded for 9 April 2015.
