East London police are investigating a case of attempted murder, following a shooting at a spaza shop in Amalinda.
Police spokesperson, Captain Mluleki Mbi, says two suspects entered the shop located in Stoney Drift last night, but demanded no goods.
Mbi says a 27-year old shopkeeper was shot and wounded in his lower abdomen.
The suspects fled on foot and no arrests have yet been made.
