Police in the Garden Route have opened up an inquiry following last weeks discovery of counterfeit goods on a bus.
Spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie says the passenger bus was pulled over on the N-2 Tsitsikamma Toll Gate where police found brand name goods valued at R433 129.00
He says the shoes were branded as Nike, Adidas, All-Star and Fila Tekkies.
Pojie says at the time nobody claimed the luggage but an arrest is imminent.
Meanwhile, police in the Eden district arrested a 34-year-old Somalian National who was in possession of 3 920 bundles of Khat.
Police received a tip-off about a drug deal that was about to take place at a petrol station in George on Friday.
The drug deal was witnessed by police and the suspect was arrested moments later.
He was granted bail and summoned to appear in court at a later stage.
