Gqeberha businessman Arnold Terblanche made a brief appearance in the local Magistrates Court on Tuesday, in connection with the murder of his estranged wife Vicki.
The matter was again postponed to the 30th of June while his bail of R1 million was extended.
Fifty-six-year-old Terblanche has now instructed his Defence attorney, Alwyn Griebenow, to formally object to the fact that the case has not yet been moved to the High Court for trial.
The defence also asked to be furnished with the final indictment against their client, which they have not yet received.
Terblanche's co-accused, Reinhardt Leach had not yet been brought to court from St Albans and will therefore appear at a later stage.
Both men will be back in court next week Friday for the matter to be transferred to the High Court.
A third person, Dyllan Cullis, is already serving an 18-year prison sentence for his role in the murder.
Vicki Terblanche was drugged with Percocet and then strangled before her body was dumped in a shallow grave on the outskirts of Gqeberha.
Her body was discovered a few days later on the 23rd of October 2021.
